Defined within the framework of the Homogeneous Lorentz Group (HLG), chirality generates an additional symmetry operation among the fields of opposite handedness. The Weyl spinors are particularly studied in order to demonstrate how this symmetry operation leads to the conventional γ5-transformation for the Dirac spinor.
