Reduction of Stopping Power Due to an External Magnetic Field

In this paper, an analytical formula is found for the energy loss of a fast moving charged particle due to the ionization of the atomic electrons in the presence of an external magnetic 4eId. The calculated reduction-effect of nonzero magnetic fields is very minor in most terrestial experiments, but can be very significant for some astronomical circumstances.
