Temperature Dependence of Static and Dynamic Behavioux of the Phase Grating in NLC Films

The temperature dependence of static and dynamic behaviour of the optically-induced phase gratings in thin films of nematic liquid crystal (NLC) 6CB is reported. The experimental results are in good agreement with the theoretical prediction of a three-dimensional model for the induced gratings. This analysis provides useful information for the field of the liquid crystal displays (LCD).
