Self Field Induced Flux Creep in Laser Ablated Zn Doped Y1Ba2Cu3Oy Thin Films on MgO

Flux creep induced by self field due to the transport current in zero external magnetic field is studied in YBa2(Cu1-xZnx)3Oy(x = 0.03) thin films deposited on MgO substrates using pulsed laser deposition technique. Dramatic depression of pinning potential, U0, and critical current density, Jc, is observed at different temperatures.
