Transverse Momentum Distribution of Strange Particles in High-Energy Pb-Pb Collisions

The transverse momentum (PT ) distributions of strange particles produced in high-energy nucleus-nucleus collisions are studied by the ideal gas model. The Rayleigh type PT distribution seems to be in agreement with the experimental data for central Pb-Pb collisions at 158A GeV. The distribution width does not depend on the rapidity of the emission source or the selected rapidity window.
