In this paper, the thermodynamic parameters of the black hole horizon and cosmological horizon are discussed on the background of a d-dimensional global monopole spacetime. It is found that the entropy of the cosmological horizon can be expressed in the form of a Cardy-Verlinde formula. The entropy of the black hole horizon can be expressed in the form of the Cardy-Verlinde formula, if one adopts the methods given by Abbott and Deser to compute the mass of a d-dimensional global monopole black hole. Through a discussion, the relations among the various thermodynamics parameters of the black hole are given. That is, a differential formula for the first law of thermodynamics is obtained. The leading order corrections to the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy caused by a small perturbation are derived. Thus, the corrected expression of the Cardy-Verlinde formula is given.
