Periodic and Solitary Wave Solutions in Quadratic Nonlinear Media

Solitary and periodic traveling wave solutions for a coupled quadratic nonlinear system are studied by using the theory of dynamical systems. Under different parameter conditions, explicit formulas for some new solitary wave solutions and periodic wave solutions are obtained. Our results generalize some known ones in the literature.
