The Energy and Centrality Dependences of Charged-Particle Pseudorapidity Distributions in Au+Au Collisions

We present the pseudorapidity distributions of the charged particles in nucleus-nucleus collisions as a function of the beam energy and impact parameter, after taking into account the contributions of binary collisions, leading particles, and spectators. We then analyze with a theoretical model the experimental measurements carried out by the BNL-RHICPHOBOS Collaboration in Au+Au collisions at √sNN = 200, 130, 62.4, and 19.6 GeV. The theoretical results favor the experimental measurements well.
