棲蘭山地區不同生育地台灣扁柏的樹輪特徵研究

Tree Ring Characteristics of Taiwan Yellow Cypress at Different Sites in Chilanshan Area

摘要


本研究探討棲蘭山兩個地區之天然生老齡台灣扁柏母樹及殘幹根株的樹輪特徵值,結果得知台灣扁柏九個樹輪特徵值在兩個地區有顯著性的差異;平均樹輪寬度參數在橫向由髓心往樹皮方向的變異性,在接近髓心附近最大,往樹皮方向逐漸降低的趨勢;樹輪寬度及樹輪密度參數的橫向變化模式在兩個地區是不相同的,樹輪寬度及樹輪密度參數在不同的樹輪階段中存在顯著性的差異;樹輪密度與早材、晚材、最大、最小密度之間具有極顯著正相關;樹輪寬度與樹輪密度之間沒有顯著相關性存在或僅有低的相關係數,表示樹木的生長速度對木材密度的影響小;本研究結果的台灣扁柏天然木樹輪特性反應(寬度及密度),可以作為台灣扁柏樹木的一種環境生態,並作為森林經營天然更新之參考。

The purpose of this study was compared the tree ring characteristics of Taiwan yellow cypress (Chamaecyparis obtusa var. formosana) seed trees and stumps wood were explored in the two sites, Chilanshan. Significant differences in nine tree ring characteristics were observed between the two sites. The ring width components in the radial direction decreased from pith outward to the bark side. Inter-ring variations (radial models) in ring width and ring density components were different between the two regions. Moreover, the ring width and ring density components were significantly affected by various radial ring numbers stages. Earlywood, latewood, maximum, and minimum density were the most important factors determining the overall ring density (correlation coefficients = 0.57-0.84, p<0.01). Ring width did not or low correlate with tree ring density and the growth of Taiwan yellow cypress trees will likely not to have a large impact on wood density. Tree ring characteristics of the above findings reaction (ring width and density profile), can be used as an environmental and ecological indicators of Taiwan yellow cypress trees, and as the operation of a reference to the natural regeneration of forest stands.
