摘要

「多元文化」是現今社會的表徵，政府與民間相關單位皆對此現象提出許多的因應方案與措施，圖書館兼負著文化及教育的使命，推展終身學習為任務。面臨全球化時代及臺灣人口結構的改變，應透過多元文化教育及閱讀推廣，藉由學校與社區的合作，解決外籍配偶及其子女閱讀適應問題，進而改善其文化適應與衝突。

”Multi-cultural” is the social condition nowadays. The government and related private sectors provide many schemes and measures to cope with this condition. In this regard the main mission for the library is on both cultural and educational levels. Therefore the library should promote life-long learning. This faces a changing of global and local population structure, by using the cooperation between schools and community to encourage both reading and multi-cultural education. Hopefully this can provide an environment for multicultural exchange with foreign spouses and address their children’s reading problems.
