A Discussion on Reading Environments for the Elderly in Public Library

摘要

在人口老化日益嚴重的當下，對高齡者在生活環境上的關注越來越多，公共圖書館中的服務性亦不例外。本文從服務理念和高齡者生理變化的角度去分析圖書館中高齡者閱讀環境的發展性，從主要的認知上整理出在環境、空間和設施方面的工作項目，以供館方和設計者的參考。

As population aging has become serious, more and more attention is given to environments and services for the elderly, including services in public libraries. From the perspectives of service goals and age-related physical changes, this article discusses the development of libraries' reading environments for the elderly. Based on major conceptions, some suggestions regarding environments, space, and facilities are made for librarians and designers.
