Giant Mucinous Cystadenoma Arising from the Cecum: Report of a Case
罕見源自盲腸之巨大黏液性囊腺瘤：病例報告
摘要
源自於盲腸之黏液性囊腺瘤是極少見的腫瘤，我們回顧文獻發現，有不少病例報告顯示黏液性囊腺瘤源自於闌尾、卵巢、胰臟等。但是源自於盲腸之黏液性囊腺瘤仍然從未被報告過。在此我們提出一經手術成功切除之巨大黏液性囊腺瘤案例報告。一位48歲女性，有過子宮頸原位癌經子宮頸錐狀切除術之病史。在偶然之骨盆超音波下發現右下腹有一13.9×8.3×8.0公分無痛性腫塊，內部呈現異質性及分隔、囊泡狀之現象。病患接受剖腹探查及腫瘤完全切除手術。病理報告顯源於盲腸之黏液性囊腺瘤。經過一年追縱，病患無再復發腫瘤跡象。

The literature contains numerous reports of mucinous cystadenomas of the appendix, ovary, and pancreas. However, thus far, there are no reports on lesions of the cecum. We therefore report the case of a 48-year-old female who was admitted to our gynecology department because of a painless pelvic mass found incidentally by sonography at a district hospital. The pelvic mass measured approximately 13.9×8.3×8.0 cm, and it contained septa and heterogeneous cysts. The patient agreed to undergo an exploratory laparotomy with a complete en bloc resection of the tumor. The resection proceeded smoothly, and a histological examination revealed a mucinous cystadenoma that had originated in the cecum. The patient's recovery was uneventful, and she was discharged seven days after the operation. The one-year follow up at our OPD revealed no tumor recurrence, and she was in good condition.
