A Comparison of Cemented and Cementless Fixation in Total Knee Arthroplasty

比較49位骨泥固定和30位無骨泥固定之Miller-Galante膝人工關節早期臨床上結果，其中骨泥固定者平均術後三年追蹤，無骨泥固定者平均術四年追蹤。兩者之間經評估結果於機能評估，膝關節評估，疼痛比較膝彎曲比較，並沒有顯著差異。但併發症於無骨泥固定者達20%比骨泥固定者8%為高，於脛骨部份人工關節與骨骼之間X光顯示有界面間隙，骨泥固定者有14個膝關節發現存有間隙佔28%，但無骨泥固定者有13個膝關節發現存有間隙佔43%。這些X光顯示界面間隙與膝關節評估，機能評估之間並沒有直接關連。

Forty-nine cemented and thirth cementless Miller-Galante total knee prostheses were studied to compare the early clinical and functional results, with an average three-year follow-up period of the cemented group and four-year follow-up of the cementless. There were no significant differences in knee scores, function scores, pain and range of motion of the knee between the two groups during the follow-up period. The complication rate of 20% in the cementless group was higher than the 8% rate in the cemented. Radiolucent line adjacent to the tibial component were found in 14 cemented knees (28%) and in 13 cementless (43%). No correlation was seen between radiolucency and knee scores or function scores.
