The formation of choice sets is the crucial point of destination selection process. Related researches suggest that there are three different stages in the developmental process of choice sets, these are awareness set, evoked set, and final destination. 1n each stage, the influencing attributes, decision rule, and choice strategy which are used by potential tourist apparently not the same. The propositions are based on research findings from the consumer behavior' field, as well as from exploratory findings reported in the tourism literature. They are intended to frame the state of existing knowledge and to guide the development of future research.
