Knowledge is not only the power for an organization to survive, but also the competitive advantage for its development. Due to this significance, a growing amount of academic literature is focusing on the area of knowledge management in this past few years. Most of these research papers are aimed at exploring the issues regarding the dynamic process of knowledge creating and flow in an organization. Accordingly, knowledge sharing is the most critical challenge for an organization to implement the act of knowledge management. In addition, knowledge sharing is the most important criterion to assess the performance of this act. The purpose of this paper, thus, is to inquire the types and motives of knowledge sharing, as well as the factors and strategies to facilitate this sharing process.
