外加RC構架補強之實驗研究及其於醫院之補強應用

EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON RETROFIT WITH EXTERNAL REINFORCED CONCRETE FRAME AND ITS APPLICATION ON SEISMIC RETROFIT OF HOSPITAL

摘要


921大地震凸顯台灣老舊建築物耐震能力不足的問題,許多建築物受損嚴重,解決之道,或耐震補強,或拆除重建。例如全台國中、小校舍約有25,000棟,全數拆除重建相當不經濟且工程亦相當浩大,故多數選擇採取補強方式。除校舍外,國內仍有諸多老舊建物耐震能力亟需提升,然而國內目前常見的補強方式(例如:擴柱補強、翼牆補強及剪力牆補強)皆會影響到結構內部的運作,本文推薦國內目前較少見之外加構架補強方法,其不影響結構物本身之運作功能,可推廣至醫院及其它補強過程中不得影響其運作之建物。本研究介紹之外加RC構架,係於既有建築物弱向兩側各新增一面構架進行補強,使用植筋新增樓版,與既有建築物進行連接,藉由RC樓版將地震力由既有建築物傳遞至外加RC構架,故樓版能否將地震力由既有建築物傳遞至外加構架攸關補強成敗。本研究以常見15 cm厚之植筋新增樓版,進行樓版剪力傳遞實驗,並與規範規定比較,以驗證其保守性;再以某醫院案例進行補強之模擬,既有建物與外加構架以樓版連接,並進行側推分析,最後進行樓版剪力傳遞之檢核,確認樓版能夠完全將地震力由既有構架傳遞至外加構架,由實驗結果與設計實例確認本研究之方法確實能夠提升建築物之耐震能力。

The Chi-Chi earthquake let people in Taiwan know that seismic capacities of old buildings are not enough. Many buildings damaged seriously. To raise the seismic capacities, old buildings may be seismically retrofitted or be rebuilt. There are about 25,000 school buildings in Taiwan, it will cost a lot and be inefficient if all school buildings are rebuilt. Most of them go through seismic retrofit to raise seismic capacities. Besides school buildings, there are lots of old buildings in Taiwan need to raise their seismic capability. However, typical retrofit methods in Taiwan, such as reinforced concrete (RC) jacketing, adding wing wall and adding shear wall will affect function of existing building. Those methods can be used on school buildings due to summer and winter vacations, but difficult to use on the buildings cannot be affected during retrofit. In this paper, we suggest a method seldom be seen in Taiwan, which is adding external frames. The method will not affect the function of existing buildings, and can be proposed to hospitals or other buildings which should maintain its function during retrofit. The method of adding reinforced concrete (RC) frames in this paper is to add an external frame along each weak direction. The external frame is connected to the existing building through RC slab. One end of rebar is post-installed into the beam of the existing building and other end is anchored into the beam of the external frame. The RC slab transfers seismic force from the existing building to the external frames by shear. Whether the slab can successfully transfer the seismic force to the external frames is essential to the result of seismic retrofit. In this paper, we will introduce an experiment, which uses typical 15cm deep newly built slab with post-installed rebar in the existing beam to do shear slab experiment. After the experiment, we compare the result with code, verifying the result is conservative. Then use a case of hospital to simulate the seismic retrofit with adding RC external frames. The external frames are connected to existing building by slab. We do pushover analysis and check the slab shear of retrofit building to make sure the retrofit result. Through experiment result and retrofit case, the method in the paper can raise the seismic capability of old buildings.
