嵇康之藝術生命,一直是美學研究所關注的焦點,尤其是其<聲無哀樂論>之研究成果尤爲豐碩。然而,「藝術」一詞,究竟所指爲何?在藝術史上,始終是個眾說紛紜的概念。因此,本文擬從當代美學的視角,透過對「藝術」概念的考察,重新確立「藝術」的範圍,說明此一概念如何與嵇康生命本身發生關連,將「藝術化」的對象轉向主體本身,把主體視爲藝術品般地錘鍊、轉化,使之呈現出獨特的風姿與神采。因此,本文旨在探索:嵇康如何完成生命之修養與轉化?而經此修養後之主體,其面對外在權力世界與內在自我生命,又將開展出何種姿態?同時,藝術活動在修養過程中,究竟扮演著何種角色?透過修養、權力及藝術三種錯綜複雜的關係,耙梳出主要的線索,由此貫穿嵇康之生命,開顯出其獨特的生存美學。
The artistic life of Ji Kang is the main focus in the field of aesthetics, especially his Sheng Wu Ai Le Lung. However, what does the term of ”art” mean? In the history of art, it’s always a vague concept. Hence, I try to inquire into the concept of ”art”, redefine its scope through the contemporary aesthetic view, and explain how the concept is connected with Ji Kang’s life. The concept of ”art” doesn't mean an object of art, but the transformation of the subject itself to show the unique taste. Therefore, in the paper, I mainly explore how Ji Kang transforms his life and how the transformed subject faces the outer powerful world as well as the inner life. At the same time, what kind of the role do the artistic activities play in the process of transformation? Through the relationship between practicism, power and art, I find the principal clue to penetrate into Ji Kang's life to show his unique aesthetics of existence.
