Sexual Knowledge, Attitudes and Behaviors among High School Students in Hualien City

摘要

台灣地區青少年之生育率從1976年開始出現偏高的現象，於東部地區尤其嚴重。本文的目的是調查花蓮高中生其性知識、態度和行為之現況。光經諮詢市內十所高中學校，獲同意其校抽樣一年級之兩班學生（平均年齡為15.8歲）為研究對象進行問卷調查，請學生在研究人員協助下以不記名方試自行回答。本文之分析是根據從四所學校共八班回收的342份有效問卷(男生53.8%，女生46.2%)。結果發現學生的性生理和性病的知識不理想，男生較女生尤其明顯，但性觀念和行為方面都屬開放；此外，約七成學生回應希望獲得有關如何與異性交往的智慧，另27.7%的男生和34.5%的女生亦表示需加強其生理生殖知識及避孕、性病的常識。本文結果可用作介入活動時內容規劃及效果評估的基礎。

Since 1976, an increase in the number of pregnancies in Taiwan has been noted in Taiwan. The eastern area of Taiwan has the highest pregnancy rate among adolescents. The object of this paper is to investigate the sexual knowl-edge, attitudes and behaviors among high school students in Hualinen City. We asked ten high schools for permission to survey two classes of grade one students (mean age 15.8). The students anonymously filled out structured question-naires under the supervision of a researcher. The data analyzed in this paper were from eight classes of four high schools. A total of 342 valid questionnaires were collected; 53.8% from male students and 46.2% from female stu-dents. We found the knowledge about reproduction and sexually transmitted diseases was not adequate, but the sexual attitudes were open. Furthermore, 70% replied they would like to learn more about how to get along with opposite sex. About 27.7% boys and 34.5% girls expressed their needs of promotion in knowledge about reproduction, contracep-tion, and sexually transmitted diseases. Our results can be used as a reference for designing and evaluation intervene-tion programs.
