GIST: a Web-Based Database System for Indexing Genomic Information

GIST (Genome Index System and Tools) is a web-based database system for indexing genomic information with model organisms, such as Escherichia coli, as index genomes. It allows the user to search and parser possible orthologs between one of the index genomes and other related genomes, and provides a useful platform for research and development of comparative genomics.
