Genetic Diversity in Natural Populations of Glycine tabacina in Fujian, China

並列摘要

To assess genetic differentiation of wild soybean, Glycine tabacina populations, sixty-one individuals were sampled from four natural populations in Mei Zhou and Ping Tan Islands, Fujian Province, China. The enzyme systems were AMP, EST, AAT, PGI, PGM, and MDH. Sixteen loci were examined by starch-gel electrophoresis. The levels of genetic variation in the four populations were relatively high ( P=0.5263; A=1.5888; H0=0.3414; He=0.2497; FST=0.4148). Genetic variation existed mainly within populations. Cluster analysis showed that there was a correlation between the populations’ genetic structure and environment when the geographic distance among populations was long. In a small region, however, the pattern of population differentiation might not correspond to geographic distance.
