Evolutionary Inference for Globin Superfamily

The finding of new members of the globin superfamily, neuroglobin and cytoglobin, in vertebrate, makes us possible to study their evolutionary relationship. Burmester et al. have been already studied the phylogenetic relationship of the globin superfamily with unrooted tree but neuroglobin. In this paper we add neuroglobin and root the tree. The origin of globin is a mystery, this paper also infer this issue from molecular evolution of globin superfamily.
