摘要
Huan-Shao-Dan is one of Tonifying formulas listed officially in the Chinese pharmacopoeia and is recommended in traditional Chinese medicine as a cardiac and kidney tonic together as a Yi & Yang fortifier. In this study, we attempt to investigate the effect of Huan-Shao-Dan on aging retardation in two-month-old and six-month-old senescence accelerated mice (SAM-P8) for 16 weeks. Result showed the aging retarding activity of Huan-Shao-Dan in two-month-old male mice and six-month-old male mice was 0.50% (p＜0.05) and 1.00% (p＜0.05), respectively. In summary, we conclude that supplement of Huan-Shao-Dan could retard the aging of male mice.
