一個經濟有效的超音波影像資料庫的建立

Establishing a Cost-Effective Personal Computer-Based Image Data Base System for Sonograpahy

摘要


超音波檢查影像資料之儲存在近年來其重要性日增,舉凡患者檢查影像之紀錄比較、追蹤、報告製作中參考之必要、教學病例之存檔、系統化教學材料之呈示等,應可由一簡單之個人電腦來完成。二年來台北榮民總醫院放射線部,嘗試由一具個人電腦(PC)配合影像資料庫及儀器連接介面卡及其他相關軟體,進行前述起音波影像儲存系統之建立,於三個月內經多方測試,發現此系統於接受超音波儀器之影像訊號後,其存入PC中之影像清晰,且具有以下各種功能,諸如能修改顏色及色階、能編輯影像、能定義資料庫指令的選項、查詢及統計檢查或病變之項目、並可供語音教材之製作等;其操作簡便省時,頗具效率,容易上手,可符合醫師之需求,並具相當之擴充潛力,亦可應用於其他影像學系統,值得推薦給醫學界同道參考。

With the advent of modern medical ultrasound, physicians have relied abundantly on the ultrasound images. Storage of ultrasound images is therefore very important for recording, comparison, follow-up, teaching file, etc. All of these functions can actually be performed in a single personal computer (PC). We had attempted to use a PC in conjunction with an image data base and some other softwares to establlish an image storage system with the forementioned functions in recent 2 years. After a 3-month testing period, we found this system can store images with satisfactory quality, and possesses other functions such as modifcation of colors, editing images, providing flexible definition of menu item in image data base, searching for examinations or diseases with statistics, as well as teaching files (i.e., slide show). This system is easy to use, timesaving, and quite efficient, and can meet physicians' requirements. It has remarkable potential for expansion of functions, and can be connected to other imaging systems (e.g., magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, digital radiography, etc.).
