Gladiolus is one of the important cut flower products in Taiwan. The traditional method to study the effect of different treatments was to compare the growth qualities at the final stage after long-term culture. The comparison with different treatments did not consider the effects of the growth time. In this study, the growth characteristics of gladiolus with four treatments were recorded at intervals. The data were analyzed by using non-linear regression techniques to establish growth models. The effects of these treatments on the growth of gladiolus were compared by using statistical testing techniques. The results indicated that the three growth model with three parameters were acceptable models for predicting the growth of gladiolus. The size of the bulbs and the depth of the planting bulbs have a significant effect on the growth of gladiolus.
