摘要


本論文提出多相位輸出且具相位校正功能之非石英式時脈產生器。此架構利用相位校正電路針對輸出相位偏移情況,進行相位校正功能。其頻率對溫度補償電路,針對晶片溫度改變時,調整時脈產生器之操作頻率,校正其輸出頻率到系統所需之目標頻率。當溫度改變時,頻率對溫度補償電路利用環形振盪器輸出頻率變化。將其輸出頻率對電壓式振盪器做頻率補償。當溫度變化從-20℃到80℃時,此非石英式時脈產生器在操作電壓為1.2 V的條件,其操作頻率可達到600 MHz且產生24組相位輸出。此架構實現於130 nm CMOS製程下,晶片面積為130 x 180 um^2。其功率消耗為3.2 mW,且在三顆晶片的測試下,其操作頻率精準度可達到±0.6 %。因此,非石英式時脈產生器架構將容易整合於需多相位時脈系統與數位架構應用中。

A digital crystal-less clock generator (CLCG) with a phase error corrector is presented. The digital CLCG adopts the phase error corrector to calibrate the CLCG output phase error. The temperature compensation circuit adjusts the operational frequency of CLCG to achieve the target frequency. The temperature compensation adopts ring oscillator to detect the temperature variations. When the temperature varies, the temperature compensation circuit uses the frequency variations of ring oscillator to adjust the voltage controlled oscillator frequency output. Under the temperature range is from -20˚C to 80˚C, the digital CLCG output produces a target frequency of 600 MHz at the 1.2 V supply voltage. The core area is 130×180 um^2 in a 130 nm CMOS process. The power consumption and frequency accuracy of CLCG are less than 3.2 mW and ±0.6%, respectively, under the three test chips. This digital CLCG is suitable for multi-phase clock source applications and digital systems.
