利用定性與定量測驗來探究高二學生對直流電路的知識結構

Using Qualitative versus Quantitative Test to Assess Eleventh Grade Students' Knowledge Structure on Simple D.C. Circuits

摘要


本研究的主要目的,是要利用研究者所發展的「直流電路概念測驗」及「直流電路計算測驗」分別從學生解定性與定量的直流電路問題之反應,探究學生完整的直流電路知識結構,並進一步分析學生的直流電路知識結構之類型。 研究樣本取自彰化地區兩所高中,以該校二年級選讀第二類組的學生各一班,合計八十三位學生為樣本。研究者先對樣本學生作答兩份試題的情形進行內容分析與概念編碼,再挑選出須接受進一步晤談的樣本,進行半結構性晤談。 研究結果顯示,樣本學生的直流電路知識結構可依其對電池的作用之看法,分為四大類型:電池提供固定電壓型(簡稱A型)、電池提供因定電流型(簡稱B型)、電池提供因定電壓或因定電流混合型(簡稱C型)及電池提供固定能量型(簡稱D型)。 每種類型可再以學生對同類的定性與定量問題之反應或以學生對電壓、電流,電阻、電功率等概念的看法做為進一步劃分類別的標準。A型的學生可再分為簡單電路型(Al型)、定量等向型(A2型)以及亮度功半型(AA型)、電壓耗損型(AB型)、電壓均分型 (AC)等類別。B型的學生均屬定性導向型,直流電路知識的核心概念是電流。C型的學生又可分為定性等向型(C1型)、定量等向型(C2型)、結構鬆散型(C3型)以及電壓取向型(CA型)電流取向型(CB) ,電阻取向型(CC型)等類別。D型的學生均為定性導向型,解題時傾向於以能量做為思考的核心概念。

In this study, two paper-pencil tests and some semi-structured interviews were conducted to investigated students' knowledge structure concerning simple DC circuits. One of the tests was qualitative and the other was quantitative. Thay both consisted of operational questions and open questions. Eighty-three eleventh grade students from central Taiwan area participated in this study. After taking the written tests, some of the students were interviewed. Students' responses were analyzed to determine their major conceptions and knowledge structure regarding DC circuits. Results of this study indicate that most students answer qualitative and quantitative questions in the tests POSSCSS an integrated knowledge structure. Four types of knowledge structure regarding DC circuits have been classified, each can be divided into several sub-types: A) the battery providing constant voltage, B) the battery providing constant current, C) the battery providing constant voltage or constant current, and D) the battery providing constant energy.
