摘要

Madelung's disease, or multiple symmetric lipomatosis, is a rare disease. It is characterized by accumulation of unencapsulated fat, which is generally located symmetrically around the neck and shoulders. Diagnose is mainly based on history taking and physical examination. Mainstream treatment is surgical excision. Madelung's disease complicated with deep neck infection was rarely reported in the literature. In this article, we reported a relevant case and briefly reviewed the literature for discussion of this rare clinical situation.
