調查研究之有效空間抽樣分析－以2010、2012 TEDS資料為例

摘要

選舉研究常使用電訪或面訪等調查方法蒐集資料，並且考量樣本須具有足夠的代表性，抽樣過程運用「抽取率與抽出單位大小成比例」（probabilities proportional to size，簡稱PPS）的原則抽出受訪者，這些受訪者所在的位置，受到抽樣成本與便利性的限制，在空間中分布並不均質；但是選舉研究中常探測的參數，像是投票行為、政黨認同、派系等，卻具有地域性的差異，因此受訪者所在的位置，對於後續研究進行空間效果分析時，是重要且有影響的。本文為了解決空間特性對於選舉行為的影響，引用並發展新的抽樣方法：1. 在已完成的調查資料中（本文使用TEDS2012總統與TEDS2010 直轄市長的選舉資料），加入空間結構（人口數）考量，重新加權計算資料的數值； 2. 考慮選舉研究變項的空間自相關性（spatial autocorrelation）與空間異質性（spatial heterogeneity），提出新的空間抽樣概念，同樣在既有的抽樣調查資料上，進行樣本數縮小與樣本分布特性的修正。本文以「投票率」、「支持率」來進行相關方法的分析比較。結果發現，方法一以人口數的空間結構差異來加權，重新統計調查資料的投票率與支持率， 雖然校正結果較原本TEDS的結果更接近真實資料，但是方法二以空間特性為考量，依照空間物理性的距離為再抽樣的依據，其樣本的推估值與真實選舉資訊更為接近，顯然，驗證變項行為與實際政治行為之間的相關性，二維的抽樣設計方式更能有效的推估選舉行為所探測的參數。

This study aims to develop several spatial sampling methods to check with TEDS data. This spatial technique is considered valuable for further research for several reasons. First, it is a way of optimal design for existing samples. Second, it avoids spatial autocorrelation and spatial heterogeneity to produce a better measurement. This study applies voting data from the 2012 presidential election and 2010 mayoral election of TEDS to test validity. As expected, the two-dimension spatial sampling method is a more accurate estimation for election studies.
