台灣中草藥產業之現況與未來發展探析

摘要

近幾無來，在經濟部與衛生署中藥委員會的規劃下，國內產官學研均積極從事中草藥的研發，期望能開發本土特有的中草藥產業。本文主要從社會環境與文化傳統的面向為起點，探討台灣中草藥產業發展的條件。以中國數千年傳統中草藥治病的歷史，及流傳至今的各種代表著作來看，中國草藥的發展有無限量的資源，再加上歐美近無來對「替代醫學(alternative medicine)」的熱衷，中草藥正邁向國際化，確實有其優勢。本文主要從文獻、各類統計的資料及中草藥產業發展資料，進行彙整分析台灣中草藥產業的過去、現在與未來展望，並提出建言期盼台灣在中草藥科技產業上有所突破，而真正成為中草藥的科技島。

In the past years, in order to develop Taiwan's local Chinese herbal medicine, the Ministry of Economic Affair and Committee on Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy requested the industry, government department, research institutes and universities work all together. They all put a lot of efforts to fulfill this mission. The purpose of this paper was to investigate the potential and chances for Taiwan to establish its own Chinese herb-medicine industry. The article began with the investigation of Chinese traditional medical treatment cultures, then reviewed the literatures and gave a SWOT analysis of Chinese herbal medicine industry's current situation. Finally, provided suggestions to promote Chinese herbal medicine industry, and help Taiwan to become a Chinese herb-medicine technology island.
