網際網路應用(價值鏈觀點)與經營策略及資訊化成熟度之關係-台灣製造業實證研究

Exploring the Associations among IT Maturity, Competitive Strategy and Internet Application on the Aspects of Value Chain: An Empirical Study on Manufacturing Industry in Taiwan

摘要


本研究以價值鏈分析觀點探討企業對網際網路應用於價值鏈層面、經營策略型態、與資訊化成熟度之關聯性,並以台灣製造業為實證研究對象。研究結果顯示,經營策略型態(探勘者策略、分析者策略、防禦者策略、反應者策略)、資訊化成熟度(高、中、低)與網際網路在價值鏈應用層面上,部份存在顯著關係。網際網路之應用層面與行業特性及企業規模大小有關。而經由網際網路應用,不同經營策略型態在競爭優勢上的效益存在著顯著的差異,探勘者策略在競爭優勢提昇上的效益皆顯著高於分析者策略、防禦者策略及反應者策略。又透過網際網路應用,不同企業資訊化成熟度在競爭優勢上的效益也存在著顯著差異,企業資訊化成熟度越高,其在競爭優勢提昇上的效益越高。整體而言,採用愈積極的策略型態(如探勘者策略)、資訊化成熟度越高的企業,網際網路的使用比例越高,應用在價值鏈的層面越廣。顯示出企圖心越強的企業,越能應用新的網路資訊科技,用以強化組織效率及效能,提昇競爭優勢。

This study, based on the analysis of value chain theory, explores the relationship among business competitive strategy, IT maturity, and Internet application within value chain activity layer; and their impact to competitive advantage. The manufacturing industry in Taiwan was selected for the study. The research results show that there are partly significant relationships competitive strategy (i.e. prospectors, analyzers, defenders, reactors), IT maturity (high, medium, low), and Internet application within value chain activity layer. There are various internet application layers are possibly that depend on the industry characteristics and business size. The relationship between strategy type and competitive advantage is significant, and the prospectors strategy shows higher competitive advantage than other strategy types. The relationship between IT maturity and competitive advantage is also significant, High IT maturity business shows more competitive advantage than others. In general, business that adopts more proactive strategy (ex. prospectors strategy), has higher IT maturity, which tends to higher ration of internet use and wider application layer in the value chain. In summary, more ambitious business can better utilize internet technology on value chain applications, and use internet to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness to enhance competive advantage.
