摘要

本研究主要目的在探討暴力處置課程對精神科護理人員之成效。採前、後測及對照組之類實驗性設計，得到以下重要結論： (l)實驗組研究對象接受暴力處置課程後，於課程後立即後測I、課程後4個後測Ⅱ時，對暴力之知識明顯優於對照組，遠顯著差異。(2)實驗組對暴力之態度明顯優於對照組，遠顯著的差異。(3)比較實驗組與對照組護理人員於前測、後測Ⅱ處置暴力之行為發現：兩組研究對象於前一個班別處置暴力徵兆個案的行為，實驗組執行隔離但不約束與需護佐或安全人員協助等兩項處置暴力措施，明顯低於對照組。(4)暴力知識、態度與以下雙項如醫院類別、性別、婚姻狀態、教育程度、及宗教信仰，未遠顯著差異；與年齡、臨床護理年資、及精神科護理年資並不相關。本研究顯示出，暴力處置課程可改善護理人員因應病人暴力之知識、態度與處置能力，減少隔離需要安全人員協助的需求。

The purpose of this research was to understand the effects of the violence management program on psychiatric nurses’ knowledge of, attitudes toward, and management of violence in wards. Data collection was based on a pre-post test control design. One follow-up test (post-test I) was given within 2 hours after the program was completed, and a second test (post-test II) was given 4 weeks after the program. Results were as follows: (1)The experimental group exhibited a significant improvement in scores for knowledge concerning violence. (2)The experimental group demonstrated a more positive attitude toward violence after the program than the control group in post-tests I and II. (3)The frequency of patient isolation and need for security help in managing violent patients decreased significantly four weeks (post-test II) after the program. (4)The scores for knowledge of and attitude toward violence had no difference in the following variables: hospital type, nurses’ sex, marital status, education level, religion, age, clinical nursing experience, and clinical psychiatric nursing experience. In conclusion, the violence management program improved the capability of psychiatric nurses to respond to and to cope with patients’ violence. It also lessened the need for patient isolation and security help.
