Following the vigorous growth of electronic resources, pricing models of electronic resources are getting diversified and complicated. Through the form of consortia, we expect to achieve more reasonable pricing by negotiation as well as to assist academic and research institutes in licensing the latest electronic resources. This paper evaluates a variety of different pricing models to probe into the trend of electronic resources licensing, with the hope that information providers and consortial coordinators may cooperate to enhance the quality of academic research.
