Query system is significant to the information management of museums. This study aims at demonstrating major differences between Ontology-Based Semantic Query System and Keyword-Based Query System by making a case study of the National Palace Museum. According to a survey of the most popularly visited museums around the world in 2002, the National Palace Museum was ranked the sixth place with the number of visitors up to 2.1 million. Bringing the National Palace Museum into the focus of discussion, this article will analyze its model of the Ontology-Based Semantic Query System. This article proposes that an intelligent and creative query system must be able to provide an interactive interface for researchers, system managers, and visitors.
