摘要

本文從作者本身過去規劃通識教育與推動社區大學的經驗，分析兩者教育哲學的異同；指出通識教育與社區大學的核心課題都在於發展人的獨立思考，並促發人藉由獨立思考去重構屬於自己的世界觀。文中明確定全獨立思考，並描述其孕育的機制，尤強調其與主體經驗的發展相互依存的關係；同時分析抽象推理的局限，指出擅於抽象推理，便可在學校教育得到優良的成績，但抽象推理是獨立思考的必要條件，而非育份條件。最後強調學校教育更應該重視主體經驗的發展。

We compare college general education and adult education, based on the author's first herded experience. It is pointed out that the common main task of the two fields is to develop indecent thinking of student s. the definition and mechanism of independent thinking, as well as critical thinking and subjective experience are analyzed. Also, we consider the limitation of abstract thinking (including logic thinking) and assent that the nowadays school education requires only abstract thinking (but not citied thinking). Yet abstract thinking is only a part of independent thinking.
Finally, the paper emphasizes the role of subjective experience in developing independent thinking.
