摘要

本研究的目的是以手長與手掌寬建立手部表面積的估算公式。人體手部表面積在醫療與工業衛生等方面均是相當重要的參考指標。手部表面積一般可分為全手體表面積(Whole Hand Surface Area, HSA)與手掌投影面積(Palm Surface Area, PSA)二種，其估算方式可以用比例值推估和公式估算二個方式求得。其中公式估算較為簡便又不失精確。全手體表面積是利用手長與手掌圍來估算，而手掌投影面積的估算式則採取手長與手掌寬來估算。為了統一與簡化估算公式，本研究希望以最少的尺寸(由手長、手掌寬或手掌圍中選取)來估算二種手部表面積。本研究隨機抽取 00位樣本，以3D人體掃描量取手部表面積、手長、手掌寬以及手掌圍等尺寸資料，再利用迴歸分析來探討這些尺寸或其組合的估算能力。研究結果發現以手長與手掌寬的組合對手部表面積的估算能力較佳，可解釋92%的全手體表面積（HSA＝2.47×手長×手掌寬），對手掌投影面積的解釋能力更高達98%（PSA＝0.97×手長×手掌寬），由以上的結果，本研究建議可由手長與手掌寬來建立手部表面積的估算式。

This study attempts to verify the estimation equations for hand surface area using hand length and hand breadth. The hand surface area is an important reference value in many applications, such as medicine and industrial hygiene. Two kinds of hand surface area are commonly used: whole hand surface area (HSA), and palm surface area (PSA). These two hand surface areas can be estimated by simple and accurate formulas. In the past, the whole hand surface area was based primarily on hand length and hand circumference, while the palm surface area used hand length and hand breadth. It is hypothesized that both types of hand surface areas can be estimated using the same parameters of hand length and hand breadth. In this study, 100 subjects were randomly recruited and measured by a 3D scanner. Each subject's hand surface area, hand length, hand breadth, and hand circumference were measured. Stepwise regression was performed on these measurements. The results show that hand length and hand breadth are related to at least 90% of variance. Hand length and hand breadth explain 92% of the HSA (HAS=2.47×L×B) and 98% of the PSA (PSA=0.97×L×B). Thus, hand length and hand breadth can be used to estimate the hand surface area.
