The purpose of the study is to investigate the impact of the level of involvement of interpretive content on visitors’ environmental cognition, recreational experience, and satisfaction for Fish Trail in Yangmingshan National Park. The findings indicated that four dimensions were embedded in visitors' environmental recognition. They were marked as natural quality, facility quality, visual quality, and cultural quality. The means of the four dimensions were all significantly higher for the visitors with full understanding of the interpretive content. Two dimensions underlay visitors’ recreational experience. They were labeled as psychological enjoyment and sensory arousal. The mean of psychological enjoyment was significantly higher for the visitors with full understanding of the interpretive content. Yet, the mean of sensory arousal didn't show significant difference between the two types of visitors. In addition, the means of satisfaction of facility, nature, and culture resources were significantly higher for the former group of visitors.
