台灣沿海濕地以及紅樹林之遊憩效益

Valuing Recreational Benefits of the Coastal Wetlands and Mangrove in Taiwan

摘要


生態旅遊是台灣熱門的新興遊憩活動,濕地的旅遊是其中重要的一環,濕地的遊憩價值是多少,是有趣的議題。本研究選取沿海濕地,針對其旅遊衍生之遊憩價值進行評價。由於濕地地點眾多,本文採用可以同時衡量多地點價值的巢式羅吉特計量模型(nested logit model, NL)以完全訊息最大概似法(full information maximum likelihood estimator, FIML)來估計。並比較多種二階層與三階層之巢狀架構(nesting Structure)以得到較可靠之結果。估計結果顯示在19個濕地地點的每人次遊憩價值中,以紅毛港濕地最高。此外,國內對紅樹林之研究偏重生物及環境面,而且並無對紅樹林的遊憩價值作研究者。而本文估計發現紅樹林的遊憩價值相當高,其中,以四草濕地為最。而且,一般而言,紅樹林種類愈多則其遊憩價值愈高。

Ecotourism is emerging recreational activities in Taiwan. Wetland visiting is one type of ecotourism. The value of wetland recreation is interesting. This paper evaluates recreational values of nineteen major coastal wetlands in Taiwan. The nested logit models, capable of evaluating multi-sites, are used since the number of wetlands is large. We use the full information maximum likelihood estimator to estimate the parameters. Several two-level and three-level nesting structures are compared in order to obtain relatively reliable results. The HonMaoKan wetland has highest per-trip recreational value. Domestic studies of mangrove are a lot but they concentrate on the biological aspects. Thus we estimate and find out in terms of recreational value of mangrove, the SiTsao wetland has highest value. In general, the value of mangrove increases as the number & mangrove species of a wetland increases.
