An Investigation into Body Extension in Yoga Movement

摘要


瑜珈服裝版型結構設計與人體的延展有著密切相關性。本研究主要以大台北地區具三年以上經驗的十位女性瑜珈運動者,針對瑜珈運動常見的基本延展以及極限延展動作共九式,探討人體相關部位的延展變化及未來瑜珈服版型結構設計之關鍵。研究結果顯示:在九式瑜珈動作中,相對顯著的人體延展變化分別是肩寬(-23.93%)、背長(-23.18%)、前長(18.83%)、腿長(16.74%)。未來瑜珈服版型結構關鍵在於釋放高延展部位的壓力值。

Designing garment patterns for a yoga suit is closely associated with body extension in yoga movement. This paper is to investigate the changes of body extension in yoga movement and to analyze the potential requirements for designing yoga suits in the future. Ten female yoga practitioners all with more than three-year constant exercise, are selected in conjunction with nine yoga asanas to experiment respectively with the basic and extreme body stretches. The results show that the body extension ratios of shoulder width (-23.93%), back length (-23.18%), front length (18.83%), and leg length (16.74%) are the four measures which have relatively significant body extension in yoga movement in the selected nine yoga asanas. Releasing the pressure from the areas with high body extension ratios requires to be taken into consideration when designing garment patterns for a yoga suit in the future.
