Eucalptus has recently become the primary fast-growing species that have been planted widely in Taiwan. To aid decision making by stand owners, information regarding stand growth and yield should be provided. To achieve this requirement, this study sets up 44 permanent plots around the island to fit models of site index, height diameter curve, tree volume, and stand structure. By integrating these models, a growth and yield simulator can be established. With this background, together with economic data, the optimal management strategy for the most profitable Eucalptus stands may be designed.
