Arabis serrata Franch et Sav. (Brassicaceae) an alpine plant not previously recorded from Taiwan, is here reported. It occurs on scree slopes on mountain ridges above 3,000m in northern and central Taiwan. Diagnostic characters of this species include a perennial, acaulescent, rosulate habit fasciculate scapes ca. 10-20cm high; thick simple, elongate-obovate basal leaves with serrate margins; elliptic to ovate, auriculate-clasping cauline leaves to 3cm long; straight, flat siliques to 5cm long, 0.12cm wide; and seeds with ringed wings abruptly broadened at apex.
