微波處理應用於紙張滅菌之初探

摘要


本研究針對微波照射對濾紙滅菌及紙質劣化之影響進行初步探討。試驗結果顯示:對於接菌於濾紙上的試驗菌株之有效微波滅菌處理時間為3-5min。在此照射處理下,對於濾紙白度及顏色所造成之影響並不顯著。在紙力方面,隨著處理時間增長有些許下降之趨勢,然而經微波處理3min後,濾紙之裂斷長、零跨距強度及耐摺強度較諸對照組有些許增加之情形。紙張分子量(黏度)之變化,隨微波處理時間增長而有些許下降。微波處理對於紙質文物之效應,有待進一步深入探討。

The main purpose of this research was to investigate the feasibility of microwave irradiation for disinfecting paper-based artifacts. The following results were obtained: 3-5 min of microwave irradiation are a sufficient biocidal dosage to fungal strains. There were no apparent brightness or color changes for filter paper after 3-5 min of microwave irradiation, whereas a decrease in breaking length, folding, and degree of polymerization of the paper occurred gradually. The effect of microwave treatment on paper artifacts needs further investigation.
