摘要

「臺灣人文及社會科學引文索引資料庫」（TCI-HSS）於民國102年9月11日啟用，現階段收錄臺灣及海外華人出版之人文及社會科學期刊、臺灣全國博士論文及專書，建立學術論著之來源文獻及引用文獻分析資訊，有助於瞭解學術著作之連結脈絡，同時提供跨學門資料庫檢索平臺服務，建立學術論著引用率及被引用率之書目分析，一方面作為人文及社會科學研究檢索之重點資料庫，另一方面則作為學術研究及相關機構瞭解各學門論著之參考依據。本文擬就TCI-HSS的建置經過、系統功能、收錄範圍、書目計量指標及後續工作重點，加以說明，俾學界、研究者、使用者了解，並多加利用。

The Taiwan Citation Index - Humanities and Social Sciences (TCI-HSS) was officially launched on September 11, 2013. Currently it contains humanities and social science periodicals published in Chinese (both in Taiwan and abroad), as well as dissertations and monographs published in Taiwan. It boasts bibliographies and citation analysis capabilities to aid in ascertaining the interconnectedness of academic works. It also provides a search platform for interdisciplinary database searches and biblometric analysis of citation rates both for other works and the work in question. In one sense, it is an important database of research in the humanities and social sciences. In another sense, it is a reference point for academic research and related institutions to understand current research in various disciplines. This paper narrates the creation process of TCI-HSS, its system capabilities, scope of content, bibliometric indicators, and potential follow work. This will help academia, researchers, and users to be better able to understand and utilize this resource.
