國小四年級數學教學錄影研究

A Video Study of Mathematics Teaching in Fourth Grade

摘要


本研究的目的在了解我國四年級教師的數學教學樣貌。研究者以TIMSS 1999年進行的八年級數學教學錄影研究的技術為基礎,對四年級教師的數學教學進行二階段分層群集抽樣,並拍攝教學錄影帶進行數位化、編碼與分析,同時也收集教師問卷了解相關的背景資料。研究發現四年級教師對自己的數學教學持肯定的態度,在課餘時花蠻多的時間在進行數學教學相關的工作,大多能勝任數學的教學。數學教師的教學有74.0%的時間是在進行教師或學生主導的公開性對話或講述的教學。其中有80.1%的時間在進行新內容的介紹或練習,而19.9%的時間在複習舊知識。有27.2%的時間在進行說明概念教學,有72.8%的時間以解答問題的方式進行教學。

The goal of the study was to analyze mathematics teaching practices in the fourth-grade in Taiwan. This research was based on the video study for eighth-grade mathematics teaching in TIMSS, 1999. A two-stage stratified cluster sampling of mathematics lessons in grade 4 was used. The researchers first videotaped lessons, then digitized, coded, and analysed data. A teacher questionnaire was used to collect background information about the teachers. The results showed that the mathematics teachers in grade 4 were positive in their teaching attitude. They spent much time at home or school doing other school-related activities. They had adequate capability in math-teaching. About 74.0% of the lesson time was spent on public interactions between teacher and students. Explanations were provided primarily by the teacher. About 80.1% of the lesson time was spent on introducing or practicing new content. About 19.9% of the time was spent reviewing previous lessons. About 27.2% of the time was spent on concept teaching, and about 72.8% of the time was spent on solving problems.
