摘要

人類的自私與貪婪已成為世界面臨毀滅浩劫的主因，人類面對地球毀滅危機，必須尋思化解浩劫拯救之道，因此重新發現我國故有文化道統的精義，把握中華文化的思想神髓，正是當前吾人責無旁貸、刻不容緩的重要責任。中華文化道統薪傳，乃是五千年來中國聖哲前賢所凝聚的共同智慧結晶，其是中國人賴以安身立命的思想寶筏，更是今日世界人類共有共享的「共命慧」，其不僅指引貞定吾人的生命方向，更為當今人類政治社會開創出「新外王」的世界格局。作為一介現代知識份子與宗教信仰者，必須認清人類思想的「共命慧」，換言之、瞭解人類當下的時代使命，共同運用智慧尋求解救之道，應是吾人當務之急。

Both human greed and selfishness have become the main reasons causing the calamities of the world, and Human beings have the responsibility to find out a way to resolve them. Thus, the rediscovery of the essence of the cultural orthodoxy and the thought of the Chinese culture will be the primary task of us all. The Chinese culture is the integrated wisdom of all saints of the ancient time of China. It is not only the philosophy practiced by Chinese people to achieve a harmonious life, but also the wisdom destined to be shared by human beings living in the world today. The practiced wisdom guides us throughout our entire life; moreover, it starts up a new horizon of ＂new leader＂ in the political society of human beings. Being a part of both intellectual and religious groups, one must be able to recognize such a ＂shared wisdom＂ of human thought, in other words, it is a matter of vital importance for human beings to construe that the mission of our era is to find out a resolution to the crisis human beings are encountered with.
