摘要

今日在兩岸關係中美國扮演重要的關鍵角色，尤其是中國與美國的互動日益密切，必將影響兩岸的未來安全與發展；因此，吾人必須深入探討當前兩岸關係中的美國因素，相信有助於認識台海問題的主要癥結。本文先從美中戰略關係互動現況，美台關係的互動發展，以及當前台灣內部爭議問題等逐一分析，俾以說明當前美國角色的重要性。

The United state is playing an even more significant role in the current cross-strait relationship which affects the future security and development between Taiwan and China when its interaction grows more intimately with China. Hence, to fathom the American factors in the current cross-strait relationship is believed to be helpful to grasp the crux of the cross-strait problems. This article analyzes in stages the current relationship in strategy between the U.S and China, the interaction between Taiwan and the U.S, and the present domestic controversies in Taiwan, so as to elaborate the significance of the role played by the U.S..
