Guided tissue regeneration has been used for treating periodontal defects for many years and got favorable clinical results. However, the technique becomes more difficult facing multiple defects. This paper reports a case with multiple periodontal defects treated with rubber dam and followed up to 5 years. The clinical result seems favorable. The paper also discusses the drawbacks of using rubber dam for regeneration therapy.
