摘要

“立面”是建築學的重要概念，然而，中、西方建築文化中對建築理解的不同反映在建築物的立面這一概念上也是十分明顯的。有梁思成等第一代的中國建築師建立的中國建築學術體系，以西方古典主義建築理論來詮釋中國傳統建築產生了不少誤解和誤導。中國傳統建築的“立面’問題，正是典型地反映了這一現象。

For most Chinese peoples, it is not easy to understand what the difference is between ”elevation” and ”façade”, even in the profession of architecture. This small study is based on authors personal experiences with the background of unclearness of ”elevation” and ”façade” in Chinese language. It has been misunderstood with these t o concepts, hen hang Sicheng, as the representative of the first generation of Chinese architects and architectural historians, started to interpret Chinese traditional architecture based upon the Western Classic Architectural Theory.
