護理學系畢業生對學校教育與課程評價之探討

Evaluation of Nursing Education and Curriculum by Baccalaureate Nursing Graduates Working in the Hospital

摘要


本研究目的爲瞭解台大護理學系於台大醫院臨床就業之應屆及非應屆畢業生對學校教育與課程之評價及其影響因素。研究采立意取樣法,對象爲台大醫院從事臨床護理工作的台大護理學系畢業生73名,其中包括應屆畢業生20名及歷屆畢業生53名。結果發現整體而言,應屆或非應屆畢業生對學校教育的評價皆為滿意,同時評價也顯示畢業生滿意學校教育對其工作的幫助程度。學校教學方面,畢業生最滿意的是教師特質(熱忱、專業能力、領導方式)。學校設備中,畢業生最滿意的是實習場所。四大類課程中,畢業生評價對臨床工作能力最有幫助的爲護理專業實習課程,其次依序爲基礎醫學護理課程、護理專業學科課程、選修課程。護理專業實習課程中,對工作能力最有幫助的是內外科護理學實習、基本護理學實習、綜合臨床護理學實習(Ⅱ)與綜合臨床護理學實習(Ⅰ)(暑習)。基礎醫學護理課程中,對工作能力最有幫助的為身體檢查與評估、生理學、人類發展學以及解剖學。護理專業學科課程中,對工作能力最有幫助的依次為基本護理學、內外科護理學與兒科護理學。四大類課程中,內容最足够的是護理專業實習課程,而以選修課程與基礎醫學最感不足。本研究結果可提供未來護理學系課程規畫與改善教育的參考方向。

The purpose of this study is to understand the evaluation of nursing education and curriculum by National Taiwan University nursing graduates working in the National Taiwan University Hospital clinical setting, and the factors affecting the graduates' evaluation results. The samples included nurses in the National Taiwan University Hospital who had graduated from the university. Twenty of the subjects graduated in 1999, and 53 graduated before 1999 (range, 1986-1998). The evaluation results showed that nursing graduates were satisfied with their school education. The most satisfying factor of the school education was teachers' attitudes (enthusiasm, nursing professional ability, leadership). For school facilities, the clinical practice setting was the most satisfying factor. The graduates felt that the most helpful courses were nursing clinical practice courses followed by basic medical and nursing courses, nursing profession courses, and elective courses. The most helpful courses among the nursing clinical practice courses were Medical and Surgical Nursing Practice, Fundamentals of Nursing Practice, Comprehensive Clinical Nursing Practice(Ⅱ), and Comprehensive Clinical Nursing Practice (Ⅰ) during a summer session. The most helpful courses among the basic medical and nursing courses were Health Assessment, Physiology, Human Development, and Anatomy. The most helpful courses among the nursing profession courses were Fundamentals of Nursing, Medical and Surgical Nursing, and Pediatric Nursing. The courses rated most sufficient were those for nursing clinical practice. The courses rated most insufficient were elective courses, basic medical and nursing courses. The research results could be applied in nursing curriculum development to improve nursing education.
