摘要

目的：某些人格特質被認為跟血清素有關，而同樣依賴音量大小的聽覺誘發波(loudness dependency of the auditory evoked potentials, LDAEP)也被認為與腦中的血清素有關；因此本研究之目的在探討人格特質與LDAEP的相關性。方法：200名正常年輕女生作LDAEP檢測與人格特質評估。人格特質的評估工具是使用Cloninger所發展的三向度人格特質量表(tridimensional personality questionnaire, TPQ)，分為harm avoidance (HA)、novelty seeking (NS)、reward dependence (RD)三個軸向。結果：研究結果顯示年輕女性的LDAEP與NS及RD的人格特質無關，而與HA有顯著負相關。結論：本研究結果支持血清素對個人的HA人格特質差異扮演一個重要的角色。

Objective: Some personality traits and the loudness dependency of auditory evoked potentials (LDAEP) are both thought to be related to serotonin. The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between personality traits and LDAEP. Methods: The study subjects were 200 normal young females (age: 19-21 years old) who received LDAEP and personality traits evaluation using the Tridimensional Personality Questionnaire (TPQ) developed by Cloninger. TPQ tests for three dimensions including harm avoidance (HA), novelty seeking (NS), reward dependence (RD), were given and each dimension was divided into four sub-dimensions. Results: No relationship was found between LDAEP and the dimensions of NS and RD. but a significant negative relationship was found between LDAEP and the dimension of HA (p=0.002). Conclusion: These results support the concept that serotonin is an important factor underlying individual differences in HA.
