台灣產業結構以中小企業為主,對廠商而言,在內部資源有限的條件下,企業的創新能耐決定其在面對相同環境時,是否能運用國家與社會資源協助其開發技術機會。本研究以台灣三家PDP廠商-友達、華映、台朔光電為例,以國家創新系統的概念視為企業所處之外在環境,在制度取向下探討國家與社會資源環境對於經濟行為者的影響。根據文獻與個案比較分析歸納提出,在企業植基於本身的技術策略選擇下,搭配鑲嵌於企業外在環境的四個制度變數:一、上、下游產業網絡資源;二、政府科技政策與研究機構資源;三、產學研合作;四、金融系統,藉以探討企業如何運用國家與社會資源來開發具經濟價值的技術機會。本文最後並探討研究結論、研究限制、研究貢獻與管理意涵。
In Taiwna's industrial structure charactreized by small and medium enterprises, mobilizing national and social resources to complement the limitation of internal resources is critical to explaining venturing behavior, centered on the exploitation of emerging technology and market opportunituies. In this study drawing on the national system of innovation literatutre at large, we examine how three Taiwan's plasma display panel payers can address this entrepreneurial challenge. In approaching entrepreneurial strategy as embedded in the broader social context, four types of national and social resources are particularly emphasized: industrial networks, policy incentives and resources, academic-industry alliances, and finacial systems. We conclude the study with some discussions on limitations, contrbibutions, and implications.
